A solid review of the pros and cons to wireframing in InDesign versus Fireworks.
NathanCurtis.com // InDesign vs. Fireworks CS3 Round 1
I have primarilly used InDesign for wireframing and have enjoyed the use of master templates, easy updating, styles, and auto updating of revised image files throughout the doc.
Heading into work with Flex and the possibility of simple prototypes is moving me currently towards Fireworks as a solution that encompasses master templates, pages, and the greater ability to output as a clickable prototype.
They are both good, very good. Choose a tool for wireframing depends on the specific organizational setting, preexisting tool proficiencies, need to also support visual design in the same tool, likelihood of heavy vs. light prototyping, and modularity.
